Clay with character. Pottery with purpose.

Handmade pottery from the Columbia River Gorge — functional, colorful, and unapologetically joyful.

Handmade for everyday rituals

Various handmade ceramic bowls, mugs, and pitchers on a wooden table outdoors.

Beacon Rock Studio Pottery is where bold color meets timeless function. Every mug, bowl, and vase is wheel-thrown by hand in Washougal, WA — inspired by decades of ceramic practice and influenced by the terrains and natural beauty of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.

Jennifer Bundy-Cobb believes pottery should be used, not shelved. Her stoneware is made to add joy to daily rituals — from coffee in the morning to dinner with friends. Each piece is meant to feel alive in your hands and be a true treat for the eyes.

Made to use. loved for life.

Whether it’s serving bowls for your favorite meal, pitchers and vases for hand-cut flowers, or colorful mugs for your morning coffee, Beacon Rock Studio Pottery is designed to blend function with artistry. Jennifer gravitates toward saturated colors, bold contrasts, and clean, smooth edges that elevate the everyday.

Energy, color, clay

Every piece begins at the wheel and ends with a glaze that sparks joy. Jennifer’s palette pulls from her surroundings — the vibrancy of the Alaskan Mountains, the mysteries of the Columbia River Gorge, the shifting colors of the Oregon Coast, and the energy she finds in daily life.

Her pottery is never static: glazes layer like outfits, colors play off each other, and every kiln opening is a reveal. The result is ceramics that are bold, functional, and completely one of a kind.

Meet Jennifer Bundy-Cobb

Jennifer’s journey with clay began more than 30 years ago in Anchorage, Alaska. From mixing glazes to firing kilns, she learned ceramics from the ground up. After years of balancing pottery, an office career, and family life, she eventually took a break from the wheel.

When she and her family relocated to the Pacific Northwest, they found a home on the west end of the Columbia River Gorge — complete with the perfect space for a studio. And when her office career took an unexpected turn, there was no better time to return to the clay.

Her work has since been showcased at Blue Water Fine Art Gallery in Rockaway Beach, OR, and at community art events in downtown Camas, WA. Today, through Beacon Rock Studio, she’s sharing her joyful, handmade pottery with a wider audience.
